About
Megan McClung, RN, LAc, Dipl. Ac. (NCCAOM)
I have been a Registered Nurse for many years in the medical/surgical and ob/gyn fields. Before becoming a nurse, I worked with horses and I witnessed the powerful and convincing effects acupuncture had on a racehorse that was having hind end issues and was not responding to the traditional treatments. Acupuncture was considered to be the last resort for this horse. As the acupuncture needles were being placed, the horse immediately went into a relaxed state. After that treatment, the horse returned to a successful racing career. Those images and facts were permanently imprinted in my mind and led to earning a Masters Level Degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Oriental Medicine from the Eastern School of Acupuncture in Montclair, NJ. I can truly say that practicing acupuncture is my passion and I continue to be amazed by the healing effects that it can have with so many different health issues. It brings me great pleasure and gratification to be able to help people feel better and to get back to a more balanced state of health so that they can live their lives to the highest potential.
